Notre Dame defensive coach Bob Diaco said to interview for Boston College job
Dynamic coordinator for the Fighting Irish is getting attention after record season
Reports are circulating that the Fighting Irish’s defensive coordinator Bob Diaco could be interviewing for a position at the Boston College, with the Eagles. According to EagleAction.com’s Mark Blaudschun, Diaco was down to interview this Monday.
New Boston College athletics director Brad Bates clearly sees the Notre Dame coach not only as a dynamic defensive coordinator but as head coach to another storied Irish Catholic franchise.

A gig at Boston College could be right up Diaco’s street considering his roots in the northeast. Boston College facilities are in need of a re-fit and this would be a great first head coaching job for Diaco. He’s had success in recruiting the east coast for the Irish. Plus the location and academic and spiritual aspects of the position at Boston College must be a plus.
However Diaco’s potential to get this post may well depend on how badly Notre Dame want to keep him for at least one other year.
