Notre Dame (21-10) arrives in New York City this week as arguably the hottest basketball team in the Big East Tournament.

The Fighting Irish have compiled an impressive four-game winning streak going into the tourney against nationally ranked Pittsburgh (No. 16) and Georgetown (No. 22) as well as strong Connecticut and Marquette teams.

These wins are more impressive considering they have been so successful without their best player Luke Harangody’s 20 points and 9 rebounds a game. He has since returned Saturday and is positioned to help his team continue their winning ways.

The Irish are scheduled to play the winner of Seton Hall (a team they lost to in the regular season) and Providence this Wednesday March, 10 in Madison Square Garden. The luck of the Irish will be required for Notre Dame to advance deep into this tourney against the likes of Big East behemoths Syracuse and Villanova, ranked No. 3 and 10, respectively.

Regardless of their showing in New York, Notre Dame is expected to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tourament.
