Mr. Tayto finally gives in to his sweet tooth

Irish snack staple Tayto is branching out in the sweets world with their release of a chocolate bar infused with their famous cheese and onion crisps.

Tayto has teamed up with Butlers Chocolates to create a “truly Irish product” after consumer demand went viral on social media outlets.

Ray Coyle, founder of Largo Foods and the man behind the Tayto theme park in Ireland, said "It's a bit of fun, you will either love it or hate it, but our consumers asked for it and we said why not!"

Coyle added that the new snack is in stores only "because people have been asking us for it.”

"There are only 100,000 bars in circulation and it is now on the market because of people power."

The limited-edition bar is available in Tayto Park in Ashbourne, Co Meath, and will be stocked in Irish retailer shops including Londis, Gala, Costcutter, Topaz and Spar.
