On Thursday night Oprah Winfrey had a surprise for the audience of "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart". The queen of daytime TV appeared, via satellite, to announce that she is going to fly the entire audience down to Washington D.C. for Stewart's "Rally to Restore Sanity" on October 30.
She said "We need a bit more sanity in the world...I wanted to show my support for you, Jon, and your audience, so here's what I did. I had my staff sneak into your studio with a little gift."
The audience all found red envelopes under their chairs containing airplane tickets.
"You're going to the rally!" said Oprah. "Now get out there and restore some sanity."
Oprah had already expressed her support for the rally via Twitter.
According to the website JustJared.com she is also paying for their hotels.
On the same day Stephen Colbert, from Comedy Central's "Colbert Report" will also be holding a rally named "March to Keep Fear Alive".
Colbert was in studio with Stewart last night to announce that they will combine their rally and will be sharing a permit.
