Colin Farrell to star in 'Total Recall' remake

Sony pictures has offered Colin Farrell the lead role in Columbia Pictures' "Total Recall" remake Variety magazine reports Farrell got the offer last week and is expected to accept. He will play a man battling recurring dreams of a trip to Mars. The role was first played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original 1990 pic. It was a huge blockbuster hit Farrell will give the film a very different look than Arnold's all action hero. The "Total Recall" remake will be directed by Len Wiseman Farrell's next movie is Peter Weir's "The Way Back" , due for release Jan. 21.
