READ MORE- John F Kennedy’s assassin’s coffin up for auction

The ambulance that carried the body of JFK after his assassination on November 22, 1963 is going up for auction in Arizona.

JFK fanatics will have the opportunity to snap up the 1963 Pontiac Bonneville Naval ambulance from January 17-23.

According to The Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. in Scottsdale, the vehicle transported Kennedy’s casket from Air Force One at Andrews Air Force Base to Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland.

"Not only did the ambulance transport JFK following his untimely death, it's one of the finest examples of an un-restored ambulance from that time period," Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson, the Scottsdale Ariz. auction house told Time Magazine.

"It's also, without a doubt, one of the most significant and historical vehicles ever offered for sale," he added.

The same ambulance was later used to transport Kennedy’s casket,  along with his late wife and brother Robert, to the U.S. Capitol Building.

Many people watched in shock as then First Lady Jackie Kennedy entered the ambulance after the assassination in her blood stained clothes.
