Paparazzi will undoubtedly decamp to picturesque Greyabbey, Co. Down and stay there for a while now that Brad Pitt is in town with his movie The Lost City of Z.

Reports don’t indicate when Brad arrived in the North, or if Angelina and the brood are also in tow. Pitt doesn’t actually star in the film but his Plan B company is producing it with stars Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller. Filming started in August, and they’ll be in Down until the middle of the month, and then it’s on to Colombia.

"The filming has been a huge success in Ireland although the weather has been a slight challenge, especially with some of the costumes,” a source told the Belfast Live website.

"Wet wool doesn't give off the best aroma, but the actors have just carried on. They're real pros and they get on with it without complaint. No one expects brilliant weather when filming in Ireland, but there were times the rains gods really took the biscuit.”

The film is based on the best-selling book by David Grann about the life of the British explorer Percy Fawcett who, in 1925, disappeared with his son in the Amazon while looking for an ancient lost city. They never returned.
