Sean Ahearn, the 27 year old who was accused of raping a Columbia graduate student, is now saying that he and the victim shared breakfast the morning after the reported incident, and that he has been set up.

Ahearn first met the alleged victim through a dating website online. The two agreed to meet up at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in New York City on April 7, where Ahearn offered to purchase a room for the night which the victim agreed to.

The Gothamist reports that Ahearn did later admit during a phone call that was monitored by the police that he had given the victim “liquid x,” but that their following sex was “consensual.”

Ahearn went on to say that the victim had breakfast with Ahearn the next morning after their night at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in New York City, despite the victim saying she “felt like sh**.”

Even further, a source told The New York Post, "She waited several days to get a rape kit and toxicology test at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital.”

Ahearn was arrested for third degree rape charges and facilitating a sexual offense. He was soon released on a $10,000 bail.
