From all over the nation thousands of supporters are expected to attend Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's epic "Rally to Restore Sanity" and "March to Keep Fear Alive" this Saturday in Washington D.C.

The two rival comedy shows with immensely serious underpinnings expect many more than the 220,000 people have already RVSP'd on the event's official Facebook page to turn up.

The humorous rally with a serious purpose, as it's being called, is scheduled to last from noon to 3 p.m. and will offer attendees a chance to voice their frustrations with the increasingly shrill tenor of American politics and the media.

Unofficially, mmusical acts like the Roots, Sheryl Crow, gospel singer Mavis Staples and actor Sam Waterston, best known from the show 'Law & Order' are rumored to take the stage. Glaringly not present on the schedule, however, are any political figures.

The event is scheduled to conclude with two distinctive award ceremonies, billed The Sanity and The Fear Awards, they will honor what's best and worst in current American political life.
