A homeless man claiming to be an ex member of the Irish Republican Army was arrested in Las Vegas last week after allegedly stabbing a man.

The self-described "Juggalo,"31-year-old Timothy Dudley, allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old man with a 3.5-inch folding knife after the victim and his four friends refused to give him money at around 3 a.m. last Sunday on Fremont Street.

Dudley told police that he was hit in the head and assaulted by the group after the men started fighting with him over the Juggalo shirt he was wearing. According to the Las Vegas Sun, "Juggalos" are fans of the horror-based rap group Insane Clown Posse. Dudley, who said he had about six drinks that night, admitted to owning the knife but denied stabbing anyone.

Witnesses state that the homeless man approached the group displaying an Irish flag and attempted to solicit money from them. According to the arrest report, Dudley stabbed the victim once in the chest before being taken into custody.

Hours following his arrest, Dudley started to hit his head against the mesh screen and window in the police vehicle, dislodging the window and frame from the vehicle. When Metro officers attempted to put leg restraints on him, Dudley threatened to bite them.

The Las Vegas Sun reports he was arrested on charges of attempted murder, breaking or tampering with a vehicle and resisting a police officer.

The victim had his pulmonary artery nicked by the stabbing. He remains in critical condition at University Medical Center's Trauma Center.
