If the undefeated Zenyatta wins the Breeders’ Cup Classic today, she may celebrate her victory with a pint of Guinness.

The Irish brewery said yesterday that if the 6-year-old Thoroughbred wins what will be her last race, it will offer a trip to Ireland and its Dublin brewery to trainer John Shirreffs and owners Jerry and Ann Moss.

The American champion mare has taken a liking to the famed Irish stout, Shirreffs has said. The trainer has been known to open a bottle and pour it into a bowl for Zenyatta in the afternoon.

If Zenyatta wins at Churchill Downs, she will end her career with a 20-0 record, breaking the winning record for undefeated horses.

Brand director Patrick Hughes says the St. James Gate Brewery will be raising a pint to the Guinness sipping horse during the $5 million race.
