The FBI have launched a new publicity campaign aimed at capturing James 'Whitey' Bulger.

The new campaign asks people, in particular women to be on the lookout for the mob boss and his long-term girlfriend Catherine Grieg.

The couple have been on the run since 1995 and investigators believe they are travelling together. The Boston mob leader is wanted in connection with 18 murders and Grieg is accused of harboring a fugitive.

The thirty second ad started running on Tuesday on 14 Television markets during programs which have a viewership around Greig’s age.

“We are trying to reach a different audience that will produce new leads in the case,' said agent Richard Teahan, who has been tracking Bulger since 2006.

“Greig has certain habits, characteristics, and idiosyncrasies that are recognizable, and we think the public might naturally notice these things.”
