British filmmaker Steve McQueen is set to reunite with Michael Fassbender for a project due to start filming in January called Shame, according to Variety. Fassbender will play Brandon, a 30 something man living in New York City, who is incapable of handing his sex life.

The script co-written by Mc Queen and Abi Morgan takes a look at the nature of need and how different life experiences can shape a person.

Born in Heidelberg Germany, Fassbender was raised in Killarney Co.Kerry in the south of Ireland.The pair are best known for their collaboration in the 2008 film “Hunger” which was based on 1981 Irish Republican Army’s hunger strike.

McQueen who hails from West Londoner won the Camera d’Or for best first feature film at the Cannes film festival for his work in “Hunger”.
