In a new interview with the French Harry Potter website, actor Rhys Ifans (who plays the kindly wizard Xenophilius Lovegood) spoke about his experience making Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with Irish actress Evanna Lynch.

When asked to talk about his work with Lynch, 18, he said he was fascinated and slightly intimidated to be with someone who knows so much about the Harry Potter books.

'She's extraordinary. If someone has a question about Harry Potter - and there are a lot of experts on board - but if anyone needs to know a detail, they ask Evanna. She knows everything. She intimidates everyone. I worked with an expert on Harry Potter. But it was really a pleasure working with her. All, all the children or whatever you call them, were great, it was just very good past few weeks there.'

On his work in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Ifans said: 'This is the first time I've spoken about the movie. It's really great. I play the father of Luna Lovegood (Evanna Lynch), Xenophilius Lovegood. And it was a joy to do.'

'When you're an English actor and that you are called to play in Harry Potter it's a great honor. You'll find yourself on the set and you see the actors with whom you have already played. We ended up on our chairs, eating our sandwiches dressed as witches. It was a surreal but very enjoyable experience.
