Education in Ireland comes to New York to attract prospective students for study abroad

In a bid to attract even more foreign students to come study in Ireland, Education Ireland is hosting several information sessions and fairs in the US to provide more insight into the process of applying to and studying at an Irish university.

Education in Ireland is an initiative created by the Irish government to promote educational opportunities for international students in Ireland. It has partnered with the top seven universities in the country - Trinity College Dublin; Dublin City University; National University of Ireland, Galway; National University of Ireland, Maynooth; University College Cork; University College Dublin; and University of Limerick - to provide options all around the country for each and every student.

Education in Ireland’s US tour stops include Houston; Dallas; New York City; Pearl River, NY; Boston; and Fairfield, CT.

The first part of each event includes an information session for attendees with representatives from the seven schools, as well as a featured alumni speaker based in the area. The second part involves a mini fair where participants can meet one on one with reps and Education Ireland executives and current/past students to discuss topics such as the schools, Irish culture, application process, and post-graduate job opportunities.

Education in Ireland is hosting a free Irish Universities Open House in New York City at Xavier High School on Wednesday, October 10th from 7 – 9 p.m. Interested students, parents and community members are invited to attend this exciting event to learn more about the undergraduate and post-graduate opportunities for U.S. students in Ireland. An information session will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a mini fair with alumni and admissions representatives from the seven Irish universities:
Participants will have the chance to chat with alumni and representatives, ask questions and learn more about the programs, courses, and available cultural opportunities. Interested attendees can register in the Events section of Education in Ireland’s website at www.educationinireland.ie.
