Shocking video of a tourist being beaten, robbed and then stripped naked in Baltimore has gone viral on the Web, and now city police plan to use the clip to identify the assailants and make arrests.

The Saint Patrick's Day assault saw the victim, who was reportedly disorientated after a night of partying. Noticing his condition a group of people set upon him, robbing him of his possessions.

As the robbery occurred a bystander filmed the attack on a camera phone and later posted it online. When the man attempted to retrieve his items he is seen being hit with a knockout punch and later stripped naked as he lay on the pavement.

Disorientated, the victim returned to his hotel room, where he awoke the next morning with no memory of the assault and robbery. He reported his missing items to the police, but other than his obvious cuts and bruises, could provide them with no details of the events.

According to a report in the Huffington Post a family member was startled to discover a video of the brutal attack online and alerted the victim.

The clip was also posted on Twitter, where the man who violently punched the victim claimed he had acted in self defense.  Authorities have not yet made any arrests in the case but it's understood they have received information about the identity of one of the attackers.

BrianO, a very rational (and frank) apprisal of the situation in urban America.... Awoken, I think it's safe to assume by your use of "nigger loving", that you're not an objective commentator here. Yes, Baltimore is a sh*thole of crime, but it's also a sh*thole of poverty and political corruption, and if you pick any comparable city on planet earth (in terms of poverty and political corruption), you'll find the same disgusting behavior, regardless of the race of the perpetrators. lot of Irish on Irish crime on the comment board today. The way things are today stand this way in my humble opinion. Inner city neighborhoods are war zones, if you're a group that doesn't blend in you stand out as a target to be robbed or worse. The so called black "leaders" are race baiters for profit, there are plenty of real black leaders no one hears about who are trying to save a lost generation. The results of social engineering, successful erosion of the black family in America has create not two Americas,but two black Americas. One that is recorded in the videos above, and the other that rejected the statist utopia, worked their way up and out, and by the way lives in a nice house down the street.

I have ridden the subway in NY late at night and like on public transport anywhere in the world late at night, i was careful and kept myself to myself. If you get beaten up in a working class area in Dublin, its gonna be by white kids so whats your excuse then when you cant blame the colour of their skin? If somewhere is rough then avoid it regardless of who lives there. use your brain! My aunt in the US told me that 'Irish' Americans are racist and I experienced it for myself when I was there. Infact, you only need to read the racist comments by Americans on this site to prove that point. There are many single mothers here mostly white, if their kids commit crimes its for the same reasons kids with married parents commit crimes. It has nothing to do with their colour.

Come to new York or Baltimore, ride the trains late at night,walk through black area's carrying an I pad cell phone or just a lone naive white guy tell us how it went for you? Black young men grow up without a male figure in there lives. Mothers are 15 and 16 when they have them. No respect for any one in authority,teachers,police etc. Welfare has destroyed the family. Black kids that try to learn in school are abused and told they are trying to be white. If you are street smart you never go where there are groups of blacks. They are great when they are in a mob. Never by themselves would they go after a white guy or gal.It has been like this for the many years I have been on this earth. I had a liberal cousin who never lived in the city she went on and on about the Irish being prejudice until she took in a kid from Harlem for the summer and he tried to burn her house down. She tried again the next year and surprise, surprise that kid tried to stab her husband. Her heart was in the right place but there are some things that can't be fixed.
