No Irish Guinness for Obama as he opts to bring his own

Secret service will bring their own beer for president to Ireland

The U.S. Secret Service will supply their own beer to a pub in Moneygall, County Offaly that U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to visit.

Security surrounding the president’s trip is so tight that he will he will not be permitted to drink any alcohol supplied by the local Ollie Hayes's Bar in his ancestral village, according to the Herald newspaper.

President Obama is due to to stop off in his ancestral home of Moneygall where his great-great-great grandfather hailed from.

It is expected the Obama will stop in the local bar for a traditional pint of Guinness.
Both President Clinton and President Reagan took a sip in Irish bars during their visits to Ireland. Clinton had Guinness in Cassidy’s Pub in Dublin while Reagan has Smithwicks, a local beer  in the Ronald Reagan pub in Ballyporeen in Tipperary.

Plans for underway in the tiny village for a festival to celebrate the historic occasion.

Can't believe the ignorance of some people posting. The Secret Service make all decisions in relation to the president's safety, including what he eats and drinks. Someone queried as to whether he brought his own food to the diner in Washington that he was pictured at. No, but I assure you that prior to his unannounced arival Secret Service agents were monitoring everything that was happening in that kitchen. A hospital in Dublin and whichever one is closest to Moneygall will also be provided with supplies of O'Bama's blood type, over which a SS agent will watch over until he is out of Irish air space.

President Obama seemed like an honest Abe before he reached the White House. But once inside its hallowed walls, he allowed himself to be influenced and guided by the Ruling Class: Billionaire Barons on Wall Street; Power hungry Egotist at the Federal Reserve who steal the American Joe and Jane's dough to fill the coppers of their Greedy moronic buddies on Wall Street; Power hungry parasites who own the Military Industrial Complex and put their money in the God they trust, on the billions of American Dollars they have in the banks on Wall Street. I'd say President Obama is allowing the wealthy landowners (not all of them Americans) to sell American, the land of Liberty, down the Swannee River. Where once Hope reigned over everyone, where Truth stood tall, where Honour was virtue that lit the light Freedom, and where Justice was once a Birthright, now only the Greed and Avarice count, and Reality shows -with Egotists like Donald -the duck- Trump rule the land and fool the multitude. Amen!

Obama's Irish roots are just like those of the platinum blonde. Twelve percent of the American electorate is Irish, according to Irish Central, with the number of African-Americans about the same. In quid pro quo, what has he given to the Irish other than ostracizing Caroline Kennedy who is the real heart of the Irish in America.

An honest drink for an honest President? Oh come on! Don't you read anythng at all about Chicago and Illinois? I live here! There's no such thing as honest politicans in Chicago - or in all of Illinois for that matter. Study up on our last 3 governors!! In jail or on their way! Nothing honest in this guy. People in this country laugh when they hear "politican from Chicago!". Remember the guy who went to the hate-filled black church? Remember the Mrs's comment about how, for the first time, she felt good about America? Pffttt...they are a joke.

President Obama's visit to Ireland has give the country a lift, which has been so badly needed. The President drinks the Honest brand of beverages, especially Black Forest Berry, which is an Organic and Freetrade range of non-alcoholic drinks. I am sure Hayes's Bar in Moneygall will have a stock of Honest Beverages on their shelves to greet the President when he calls in, on his visit to his ancestral home. "An Honest Drink for an Honest President".

Obama simply stopping by a pub in his ancestral home (and following the direction of the secret service about the beer) brings out the type of comments below....Go figure? Guess they’re more examples of those "Fair and Balanced" opinions.
