Joy Behar bashes Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly on CNN
“The View” co-host Joy Behar appeared on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” on Sunday, where she slammed Fox News commentators Glenn Beck and one of Irish America’s most controversial figures, Bill O’Reilly.
Behar will launch her own talk show on Monday night on the CNN network HLN called “The Joy Behar Show,” and when it was pointed out that she was hired to replace Glenn Beck on the network, the outspoken comedian had a few choice words for the political pundit.
“I think that he is frequently ridiculous and doesn't make any sense as far as I'm concerned. But he calls himself a rodeo clown, he's a clown, he's on the cover of Time magazine. I mean the media just plays right into his hands. He’s sort of somebody who yells ‘fire’ in a crowded theater,” she said.
Behar says that Beck’s past alcohol and drug addictions attributes to why he acts so “crazy” on TV.
“He's addicted to all of that publicity I think. It took the place of drinking.”
CNN host Howard Kurtz went on to play a clip of Beck’s fellow Fox TV personality Bill O’Reilly and Behar during a heated argument on “The View.”
Behar says she’s proud that O’Reilly has called her names like “pinhead.”
“He called me a pinhead. He's called me a Kool-Aid drinker. It's ok, it's like being on Nixon's enemies list. I think it's a badge of honor to be called a pinhead by Bill O'Reilly.”
