Now you can get married at Croke Park!
Die hard fans can declare their undying love for each other at GAA headquarters
Croke Park, the home of Gaelic games in Ireland, has being granted a license to host civil ceremonies in the stadium.
The Dublin stadium holds over 80,000 people and has numerous bars, restaurants and corporate boxes.
It has only been five years since foreign sports such as soccer and rugby were allowed to be played in Croke Park. Now they are letting you host your entire wedding there.
It has hosted wedding receptions before, but it has now being granted a license to host a wedding ceremony.
Croke Park’s commercial manager Linda McCoy said that there has been a lot of interest from engaged sports fans.
"We have had a huge amount of interest from sporting fans,” said McCoy.
It is the ultimate wedding for a die-hard GAA fan. Unfortunately marriages will not be allowed to take place on the football pitch, and ceremonies will take place in two suites that overlook the pitch.
You can tie the knot in the Hogan stands Mezzanine suite or the players lounge.
Croke Park management has issued a wedding brochure offering the "ideal venue for your special day."
Couples can have their picture taken pitch side and the venue also offers accommodation at the four star Croke Park hotel.
"We have hosted some iconic rugby and soccer matches here over the last two years, so the stadium holds a special place in a lot of people’s heart.
“But we also know that couples these days are also looking for a unique setting for their wedding, and one which they can be reassured offers unparalleled service and attention on the day,” said McCoy.
