Cannibal cop and Irish American bride asked for pots and pans as wedding presents
Court claims Gilberto Valle planned to cook and eat women
A New York policeman arrested in a cannibalism case asked for baking pans and a cookware set when he married his Irish American sweetheart last June.
Gilberto Valle is the 28-year-old officer at Morningside Heights’ 26th Precinct who allegedly plotted to cook and eat women.
He was arrested on Wednesday after a federal investigation uncovered his plans to kidnap women, cook them slowly in his oven and then eat their body parts, according to court documents.
The website www.dnainfo.com reports that Valle and his Irish American wife Kathleen Mangan asked for baking pans and Oven Lovin cookware in his wedding registry earlier this year.
Valle and Mangan requested stainless steel pots, an immersion blender, a food processor and many other kitchen items in advance of their June 19 wedding.
The report says that other items on their Amazon wedding registry included Rachael Ray’s Oven Lovin’ $137 10-piece cookware set and $41 five-piece non-stick bakeware set, a $40 Cuisinart food processor, mixing bowls, a garlic press and freezer storage containers.
The couple also asked for a few non-culinary gifts, including a set of pillows and 'Downton Abbey' dvds.
