Barack Obama is anti-British says grandmother

Grandfather was tortured by British in Kenya

The British media have been adamant that President Obama has revealed his anti-British side in recent weeks over the Gulf Oil Spill, and a new report claims he might have good reason for doing so.

An interview in the Daily Mail with Obama's grandfather's wife reveals how she told him about the way the British tortured his grandfather during the Mau Mau rebellion in the early 1950s.

Sarah Onyango was Hussein Onyango's third wife. At 89 years old, she is still hale and hearty and Obama calls her Granny Sarah.

When Obama visited Kenya, Sarah says she told him of the torture his grandfather, a former cook in the British army who turned against them in the fight for independence, received.

"The African warders were instructed by the white soldiers to whip him every morning and evening till he repented," says Sarah. "

"They would squeeze his private parts (testicles) with parallel metallic rods. They also pierced his nails and buttocks with a sharp pin, with his hands and legs tied together with his head facing down," she says.

"There were beatings and torture. That was the time we realized that the British were actually not friends but, instead, enemies. My husband had worked so diligently for them, only to be arrested and detained. He called the British 'beasts and traitors in human skin'. 'Oe. They say British soldiers used torture in an effort to get him to reveal rebel secrets.

"I narrated the whole story to Barack one evening to help him understand our family's past. He wasn't amused at all. He expressed quite a lot of concern about why the British had to punish his grandfather 'on his own soil'.

"He said the whole act sounded barbaric. He wondered why the British never respected African culture. The arrest, he said, was outrageous."

She said  "Generally, my grandson has never believed the British do anything for a common good, rather than their selfish interests."

Well, we didn't exactly need Obama's Grandmother to inform us of the obvious. It's pretty clear that he's had it in for the British ever since he's been in office -- just look how he's treated them. But I think his personal disdain of the British goes just a bit beyond Britain, itself; I think he's flat-out anti-WHITE, and that's why I believe it's a mistake for any fellow Irish or Irish descendants to try to identify with the guy. I don't think he has any use for Ireland, either (other than to mention it to score political points, when referencing his own white ancestry, which he doesn't even identify with). And why SHOULD he have any use for Ireland? It's just another white country, too, to him! I think he may single out the British a bit more because of their historical world stature, and because he sees them as the 'big, bad mother country' of the collective white identity he dislikes...but I don't think he has any use for any white country, period. He's got a chip on his shoulder, and he has it in for whitey. Never mind that it took MILLIONS of white votes to elect him. He doesn't care, ultimately.
We all know that the British have tortured and killed people over the centuries. But that doesn't mean that all British people are the same. As for the British not doing anything for the common good, I know of one example that proves the contrary. The British aircraft manufacturer DeHaviland shared the results of their investigations into metal fatigue to Boeing for free. Boeing then renaged on the gentlemens' agreement and pushed DeHavilland out of business.
The US was founded by British protestants. It was their drive and industriousness and adherence to a set of values that sustained and nurtured the nascent nation.
I agree with the very last statement of this article.
Who could blame him for being anti-British? I understand that.
Barack Obama is anti-America too.
Hyattsville: The auld adage of: "Don't just do something, sit there" is used quite often in the whitehouse when it comes to executive decisions for the good of our country. Obama has gotten us to the point in our country and the world to where "our friends don't trust us and our enemies don't fear us".
I agree with peterson and chesapeake: He has made a mess of our country .....The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Hell, he's anti-American, too!
Obama has alienated most of eastern Europe by dropping the missile defense system and the rest by his arrogant attitude. For some reason, he does seem to be nice to the Islamic nations. The mess he "inherited" from Bush is peanuts compared to the mess he has made in the U.S.A. !!
@Monsoonman Barack Obama spends a hell of a lot more time in the office and in DC than the person he inherited the mess from. Fact is that George W Bush spent 1,000 days of his presidency vacationing at either Camp David or his Crawford Texas ranch. By quittin' time on Friday he was off in AirForce one. Oh and by the way I agree with comments posted by Realist and am beyond amused at IC's headlines frequently reading 'IrishMan/Woman....' when the person is actually not from Ireland but maybe has a great great granda from Leitrim!
ROFLOL!!!! While our gulf is getting poisoned with millions of barrels of oil, the whitehouse is indignant that the ceo of bp took a day off to attend a sailboat race. At the same time our gulf is getting poisoned, our cities are flooded with illegals, our troops are getting killed our country is bankrupt, Iran is going nuclear, our ceo is golfing....LOL the hypocrisy.
Lol....Mickey Mouse attacks on an oil company that used to be British from a country that also used to be British. Yet another non-story from a website that will print anything with the words 'Irish' and/or 'anti-British' in it.
Nothing racist about quoting Obama. Here's more quotes from Obama: "I had learned not to care. I blew a few smoke rings, remembering those years. Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though. ..." "...I've got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby." "I can no more disown (Jeremiah Wright) than I can disown the black community."
Southernpride: Why don't you take your racist garbage somewhere else?
