An Irish doctor wanted on child molestation charges in the U.S. has been arrested in Morocco.

Doctor Rory Doyle, (58), disappeared from his mother’s Dublin home after he was sought for extradition by American authorities in Florida.

He had been working under the name Dr. David West in Ireland after he changed his name by deed poll.

He only came to the attention of authorities after a complaint about an inappropriate relationship with a patient in Ireland came to light.

He is wanted on charges of molesting two girls aged 8 and 13 in Treasure Beach, Florida and St. Petersburg while they were both asleep.

He fled Florida for Ireland after being charged in Florida and was later located at his mother’s home.

He fled again while on bail to appeal an extradition request which had been granted by an Irish court.

His arrest in Morocco comes after a joint Irish, U.S, Moroccan and British manhunt. He was arrested in Tangiers.

He has denied the charges of molestation which occurred in 1994 and 1995.

In Ireland he had been living with his 89-year-old mother who had put up bail of $200,000 for him which she had to forfeit.

In December 2011 Dr Doyle received his passport back to allow him to accompany his mother to England. He absconded soon after.

You are correct. I only read IC.But everything I read tells me the liberals in Ireland are letting everyone off with basically a slap on the hand.Just read today's headline about the rapist and attempted murderer who got out early from a 15 year sentence. He's free in Amsterdam.Suspected murderers and pedophiles should not get bail
irishamerica46 you must not follow Irish legal matters. In Ireland almost 100% of charged people are entitled to bail. The fact that his bail was $200,000 amazes me. the usual bail is hardlt more than 3 figures.
"numerous Jewish paedophiles"?? Have you kept count? Pedophiles can be of any nationality. I don't think their nationality matters. They're all animals!!Another question. Why was this fool allowed to post bail?
A case in point: Mondrowitz’s alleged crimes are far more serious, having had numerous children between the ages of 9 and 15 accuse him of sodomizing them in the 1980s. The now 64-year-old father of seven was once a popular youth counselor who ran an unlicensed psychology clinic at his Borough Park home, where some of the sex crimes are alleged to have occurred. When police went to his house with an arrest warrant in 1984, Mondowitz was gone, and the police posted “Wanted” posters around the neighborhood, which depicted the bearded man with spectacles. After learning that Mondrowitz had fled to Israel, the U.S. sought his extradition but was ultimately denied, because the 1962 Israeli-American treaty did not include sodomy as an extraditable offense.
I am delighted that the USA authorities are attempting to extradite this alleged child molester. I would be even more delighted if the USA authorities would pursue the numerous Jewish paedophiles being given sanctuary in Israel. Incongruously, sodomy with a child is NOT an extraditable offence amongst the 'chosen'.
I don't always like IrishCentral's MAD-magazine like, "all the news that fits, we print" approach to alleged journalism. I mean, one of conspiracy gang in on the plot to assasinate President Lincoln was Michael O'Laughlin, described on one web site as a "happy-go-lucky Irishman". Sometimes I think you have a "Print all the bad news about the Irish that you can" approach.
Mothers have a way of blindly supporting their ill children regardless of the ages of both.
What is a deed poll?
