We're a bit slow when it comes to country music, so all you Kris Kristofferson fans will undoubtedly already know that his latest album released last year includes a ballad called “Sister Sinead,” in honor of Irish songstress Sinead O’Connor.

O’Connor and Kristofferson go back quite a ways, and the 73-year-old grizzly actor/singer provided plenty of comfort for Sinead after her Pope picture-ripping escapade on Saturday Night Live in 1992.

“And maybe she’s crazy and maybe she ain’t. But so were Picasso and so were the saints,” Kristofferson sings. Sounds like Sinead to a tee.
