This St. Patrick's Day why not ditch the McDonald's Shamrock Shake and try making your own. What could be better than a smooth mint milk shake that's homemade and wholesome? This one isn't for the kids but it certainly is delicious and refreshing.

Here's a delicious recipe -

Ingredients:

1 cup lime sherbet
1 cup milk or half and half
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ounce (or shot) each of Creme de Menthe liquor and rum (optional)
Whipped cream for topping

Method:

Let sherbet soften at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Blend sherbet and milk in blender or food processor. Add vanilla and shots of liquor. Blend for 30 more seconds.

Pour into glass and top with whipped cream. Sláinte!
