Tom Cavanagh to star in ‘Yogi Bear’ 3-D - SEE TRAILER
The long awaited trailer of the “Yogi Bear” 3-D feature film has been released. Irish American Tom Cavanagh plays Ranger Smith, alongside an all-star cast including Dan Aykroyd as Yogi, Justin Timerlake as Boo Boo.
The original cartoon, which was part of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, was a favourite amongst children for decades. The cartoon started back in 1961 and it’s still run on TV around the globe.
Warner Bros have a lot to live up to with their new live-action / animated 3-D version that will be released in the United States on December 17.
The plot of the new movie sees Yogi, Boo Boo and Ranger Smith (the blue eyed Tom Cavanagh) join forces to come up with a way to stop Jellystone Park from closing. Of course the plot eventually proves that Yogi is, as always, “smarter than the average bear.”
Cavanagh is probably most recognized as Dan Dorian, J.D’s big brother in the sitcom “Scrubs”. He also had his own who “Ed” where he played the title role. Most recently he appeared on the silver screen in “Snow 2: Brain Freeze” in 2008.
