A teaser trailer for “The Host” is set to air before the “Hunger Games” premiere this coming weekend.

Starring Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, the movie is a film adaptation of the 2008 sci-fi romance novel by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer.

"It's kind of an alien love story," director Andrew Niccol told PEOPLE in this week's issue.

Ronan plays Melanie in the drama, one of the last remaining free spirits who lives in a world inhabited by an alien race called Souls.
