Susan Boyle to sue her two brothers

Susan: should make her own decisions
Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle is suing her brothers after they made allegations about her mental stability.

Reports in the British press say she is suing Gerry and John Boyle for breach of privacy after they gave an interview expressing concern about her alleged bizarre behavior, claiming they were frozen out of all decisions about her.

They were very critical of her management team, headed by two of her nieces and Irish businessman Ozzie Kilkenny.

Her team, however, alleges that some members of the Boyle family only began to take notice of Susan after she became famous.

They point out that both brothers have agents who represent them.

Susan, 49, is said to be devastated by the personal nature of the comments about her and to wish for a complete zone of privacy when it comes to family matters.

Shirlylo and Idafan, How about applying some of that Christian ethics to the brothers? Susan is the one being wronged and they seem to be trying to destroy her career. So don't you think you should save your preaching for them?Don't think it would do any good though. Christians wouldn't act as they are doing....or maybe they would. You seem to be berating the injured party. Not much difference. That is the kind of "Christian witness" that turned me into a born again realist.
The brothers need to shut up if they care about their sister.
to myriamdom when you say why don't her fans give her encouraging words instead of fuelling the rift, do you mean the same encouraging words her brothers have given to the media over the last yr. do i believe Susan is taken this action, absiloutely not,do i believe her management team have taken it after discussions with Susan, absolutely . and they are 100% right.these people who love Susan but then say oh,well you should talk to them etc, what do you think she has been doing for the last yr. and what do others say,oh,it would hurt her more, you have got to be kidding me,the hurt those brothers have caused her over the last yr must have been sickening to her so what does she have to lose, she evidently has had enough of them, they are no better than the bullies she tolerated for yrs, so good luck Susan pet. you do whatever you have to to make your life better
"Sue" maybe a strong word. The management needs to take the necessary path of actions to stop these two brothers from pulicly slandering the team, in the process vitimising their own sister.
Her parish Priest??? How's he going to shut those 2 up? Does anyone believe that they didn't try everything else to shut them up and that this is their last resort? They will not shut their mouths.
To auldyin: Well, then these two brothers should have voiced their "concerns" to Susan, only, and not blabbed all over the tabloid pages... seemingly for their own benefit...certainly not for Susan's. No wonder she doesn't know who she can trust. Her team and Simon seem to be the ones who have been doing what's right for her and I wish her more happiness and success to come. She so much deserves this.
This would be her managing team that did that they obviously do not like the brothers poking their nose in. I doubt that Susan herself would have much heart to do that as she truly loves her family. However I hope they take the hint and keep a low profile from now on and prove themselves sincere by being ready to help Susan in any way they can and keep their mouths shut.. She's only been out there a year and is not established yet. Hope the film of her life story is in the works as that would help her a lot.
I think that Susan is doing well, but will regret taking legal action against her family. It is very out of character for her, and I wonder if it is at the advice of her management team? If so, she needs to seek advice from a third pary that is unbiased. The suggestion that she speak with her parish priest sounds good to me. Good luck, Susan, you deserve the best.
I wish Susan or someone would have advised Susan to talked to her parish priest first. As a devout Catholic perhaps Susan would consider a sincere advise. It will be another very sad situation for Susan to be in if she pushes through the legal course. Legal recourse is not the best possible, in the beginning, to solve every situation. It would hurt her more - psychologically and emotionally. I hope there is someone out there who could offer her a sound advise. Of course, the media and the lawyers would be the first to enjoy the benefits. Susan and her family would reap sorrows and hurts. I hope those well-meaning fans and admirers of Susan would send her encouraging words instead of fuelling the rift. May the good Lord help you through this, dear Susan.
On May 2nd, 2010, I posted the following comments on another Susan Boyle fan site: MY GERRY BOYLE FRUSTRATION: Susan has said, during interviews, that her management team has provided much appreciated expertise and personal emotional support, which has enabled her to "grow up", and gain personal confidence. I personally appreciate the "protective cocoon" which they promised, and have certainly produced for our sweet Susan. Her SUBO team grant her freedom to enjoy personal contact with fans, when she wishes. Susan thrives upon that personal one-to-one interaction. Perhaps Gerry is discovering that Susan's management team Andy/Simon are protecting her from her older brother, as well. Where was this "big brother", Gerry, when Susan headed, UNACCOMPANIED, via bus, to audition for BGT? Gerry owns a car...but was too busy to support his sister's dream. And, I am told he had another "engagement" the night her successful BGT audition was aired in Blackburn. She said, early on, that she intended to help her family with the funds she received. We all know of Gerry Boyle's current ambitious business ventures. She certainly has deserved a break from the demanding schedule of her first professional year. Australia will happen...just perhaps not bring in the $$$$'s as soon as Gerry Boyle might have preferred. ENJOY THAT RELAXATION AND RECORDING, DEAR SUSAN! I THANK THE LORD FOR YOUR CAPABLE AND CARING MANAGEMENT TEAM. God bless you, Susan! Trish (Pat) Pierce (USA)
Those brothers have done nothing but slander Susan Boyle, They need to just get out of her life. If they didn't love and protect her before, why should they stick their noses in now? Simple, they want money and fame. God Bless Susan Boyle she is a true Lady.
My heart is rejoicing, as I read this news of Susan's decisive and assertive stand against family members who had failed to provide personal support for her until she had received worldwide acclaim! I have agonized while reading patronizing, demeaning comments from Gerry Boyle, which painted a picture of a Susan who was distraught and highly dependendent upon him. While, on the other hand, I witnessed Susan declaring, during interviews, that she was thoroughly enjoying her new career opportunities, and had been fully nurtured by her management team! Even her first vocal coach, Fred O'Neil has affirmed, during media interviews, that he remains in contact with Susan, as her personal friend, and proclaims that he is now witnessing a more confident, fulfilled Susan, who is thriving upon the realization that she is bringing blessing to others with her talent and delightful personality.
It's funny how a bit of cash can stir up the family pot! How brazen of John and Gerry Boyle to hire representatives. Obviously they think Susan's money somehow belongs to them. They should let the woman get on with her life. She's a magnificant singer and a lovely person, by all accounts. She doesn't need these greedy, meddling arse-wipes "looking after" her. She's done very well on her own. God Bless Susan!
Way to go, Susan. Your fans in Asia support you.
are these the same brothers who adored her so much that she went alone to her audition, the same brothers who ran to the press adn made remarks on a regular basis to send even more media to her door, then that is not what any of us would call concern about a loving family member. she is well rid of them
