‘Harry Potter’ star son to star in Brendan Gleeson’s debut
It has be confirmed that Brendan Gleeson’s son, Domhall who plays Bill Weasley in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” will star in his father’s directorial debut next year.
It was announced last year that Brendan Gleeson, the much love Irish star, will begin work on his directorial debut in a cinematic version of Flann O’Brien’s novel “At Swim Two Birds”.
The film’s IMDB.com website also shows that Colin Farrell, Gabriel Byrne, Cillian Murphy and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are confirmed to be involved. This film filled with Irish acting royalty is said to be in the pre-production stages. In fact the group of actors have been named the “Pat Pack” and they’ll cause quite a stir when they star filming next summer.
Domhall Gleeson recently proved himself to be a brilliant comic actor in the Irish sketch show “Your Bad Self”.
He is also no stranger to accolades having earned a Tony Award in 2006 for his role in “The Lieutenant of Inishmore”.
He only made his screen debut six years but since then he’s been in hits such as “Perrier’s Bounty” and now the “Harry Potter” franchise.
The young star, who’s set for success, has also tried his hand behind the camera penning the script and directing a short film called “Noreen” starring his father, Brendan, and brother, Brian.
