Newcomer Jennifer Lawrence has been chosen to star in "The Silver Linings Playbook," the followup to the critically acclaimed film "The Fighter,"alongside Mark Wahlberg.

The role was said to have been pursued by well established actresses like Rachel McAdams, Blake Lively, Kirsten Dunst, Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde and more, but because of the buzz the actress has been garnering, Walhberg has picked the Oscar-Nominee to play the leading lady in the upcoming film.

"The Silver Lining Playbook" movie is a film adaptation of a novel by the same title written by Matthew Quick. The story centers around a clinically depressed man who is released from a mental institution after a few years, and has built a silver lining theory that makes him believe his life is a movie produced by God.
