This might be a daunting prospect but it would appear that modern technology has said it’s so; Kim Kardashian writes like the Irish literary genius James Joyce.

A new website called “I Write Like” uses, presumably, algorithms and other mathematical jiggery pokery to analyze your style of writing. Essentially this clever site reveals your inner author, with some shocking results.

Recently a CNN reporter carried out an experiment feeding various celebrities writing through the “I Write Like” website. Launched just last week, by Sunday night the site had been used by 1.5 million people.

The site was designed by, 27-year-old Russian software developer, Dmitry Chestnykh. Though the site analyzes word choice and writing style Chestnykh admitted that he knows nothing about the analyze of literature.

Still it’s quite worrying that one of Ireland’s most loved and prized literary figures popped up when Kim Kardashian’s latest blog about bowling was put through the system.

CNN’s tests came back with these results.
