Irish American actor John Cusack has pronounced himself bowled over by Ireland's beauty.

Cusack, whose movies include Con Air, Grosse Point Blank, America’s Sweethearts and Being John Malkovich, was in Ireland to celebrate his mom's 80th birthday.

But he also took time out from the huge family celebrations to do a three-wheeled road tour of Ireland on a Can-Am Spyder Roadster.

Calling Ireland "a beautiful country," he said he was "amazed" by the history and scenery.

Cusack and his family took in Dublin, Galway and Kerry (presumably not all on the three-wheeler!) and they were all stunned by the scenery and the people.

Well, it's not news to us at Irish Central John!

Anyway, Cusack is next up in a so-called time-travel comedy "Hot Tub Time Machine."

"We just finished shooting it a week or so ago," says Cusack, who stars in the film with Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke.

It's a ridiculous film," he said. "You're pretty much either sold with the title, or it's not for you. It's about four idiots who are thrown back into the '80s to go boldly where men have gone before."

Maybe another trip to Ireland's on the cards!
