A County Mayo farmer and tightrope walker, known as Mayo’s Spider Man, intends to travel to L.A. to propose to Jennifer Aniston as part of a bet with his friends. He will present her with a Mayo football team jersey as an engagement gift.

Timmy Regan from Breagmor in County Mayo has booked his tickets for the big proposal and plans to fly into LAX this weekend, as part of his bid to put a ring on the finger of one of Hollywood's hottest women.

Regan, who has been an avid fan of Aniston's for decades, says his friends set him the difficult task after years of him talking about how he intends to end up with a Hollywood A-lister some day.

As part of the bet Timmy has to get within 20 feet of the star and take a picture to prove to his friends that he has actually proposed. Once he produces the evidence, his friends will compensate the cost of his trip.

"The lads thought I wouldn’t have the balls, but listen it's a holiday at the end of the day. If Jen aint interested, I will head to Vegas for a bit of craic, " said Timmy, in an exclusive interview with IrishCentral.com

Regan has travelled to the U.S. on several occasions, playing GAA for his home county. He is also a tightrope walker in his spare time and has walked from the Hogan Stand to the Cusack Stand using stilts across a tightrope in Croke Park.

He has plans to cross the Grand Canyon on a tightrope next year

“I might set up a tightrope outside Universal Studios in Hollywood,” he said, “to make sure Jen hears about me. I’m known as Mayo’s Spider Man.”

"I lived in New York for a year, up in Yonkers and played many a match in Gaelic Park," says Regan, adding "me and two of the lads did Route 66 last summer too and ended the trip in L.A."

On one of his trips to the U.S., Regan took sight of the steamy actor in the flesh when he nabbed tickets to the Jay Leno show.

"She has always looked good on the TV, but when I saw her on "The Tonight Show" she looked unreal! She looked even more stunning in the flesh, the years have been kind to her" says Regan.

The Mayo man arrives in L.A. this weekend on April Fool’s Day and has been doing research regarding the best place to find Aniston.

"I hear she hangs out at Scruffy Murphy’s Pub in Burbank so I’ll make my way there first," he revealed.

Speaking to IrishCentral.com from his Mayo home he said: "I know she is filming at the moment, so I may just hang out close to the set. I am also planning on wearing my Mayo jersey and kicking a football up and down Burbank till I find her.
