Adam McKay to direct Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in ‘Three Mississippi’

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, who previously starred in "The Other Guys," are set to be reunited in a new football crazed movie, directed by Adam McKay.

The film will also see actor Alec Baldwin star alongside the duo.

The movie, which is about an annual soccer play-off against neighboring towns, is set to be released on Thanksgiving Day 2012, according to New York Magazine's Vulture.

The movie doesn't solely focus on football. It will also appeal to a universal audience and touches on topics like family and reuniting relationships.

In the interview, McKay mentioned the outline of the plot. He said: "So Wahlberg  has to put his ramshackle, convict, gambling-addict family back together again and beat the richies.”
