Ireland has won the Grand Slam on Saint Patrick's Day, defeating England in their final game of the Six Nations!

England suffered a 15-24 loss to Ireland in their final game of the 2018 Six Nations Rugby Championship. Ireland had already won the Six Nations title but now take home only their third Grand Slam in the history of the competition, beating all the other competing countries over the past several weeks. 

Just to put it into context for non-rugby fans: Ireland has beaten England (something we'll celebrate any day of the year) on English soil, at a game invented in England on March 17, Ireland's biggest and most patriotic day of the year. To say that Ireland is excited is an understatement and you can expect the Saint Patrick's Day revelries across the world to be even more extreme after the Irish win.
