Wexford man facing charges granted bail after causing Dublin Airport disruption
Wexford man Patrick Kehoe, 23, caused a disruption at Dublin airport Thursday morning when he chased after his taxiing Ryanair flight bound for Amsterdam that he was late for.
The Irishman made it through gate 106 at Dublin Airport and ran onto the tarmac despite the plane having pulled back already. He was, reportedly, “quite determined” to make his flight, and ran on the tarmac with his suitcase under his arm.

Kehoe was promptly tackled and subdued by police on the tarmac.
Several onlookers were able to capture pictures of the bizarre scene, including journalist Declan Harvey who shared the incident on Twitter.

In a statement, a Dublin Airport spokesman said, "A male and female passenger were late for a Ryanair flight to Amsterdam this morning and arrived at the boarding gate after the flight had closed.
"They were engaging with Ryanair staff at the gate and the male passenger was becoming agitated.
"He was banging on the window to try and get the aircraft to wait... and made his way onto the apron, trying to flag the aircraft down.
"Police at Dublin Airport detained an individual who breached security at the boarding gate, which had already closed. This is now a matter for local police."
The Ryanair flight arrived into Amsterdam only 21 minutes behind schedule.

Kehoe was brought to Ballymun Garda station and later presented before Judge Bernadette Owens at Dublin District Court.
The Irish Times reports that arresting officer Garda David Cahill said Kehoe “made no reply to the charge after caution.”
Garda Cahill also requested that Kehoe is banned from Dublin Airport unless there on necessary business. That request was denied, and Judge Owens released Kehoe on a €200 bond and ordered him to keep the peace and be of good behavior.
Kehoe is set to return to court on November 8 to face his charges, which Garda Cahill indicated could involve more than just the initial criminal damages charge.
Kehoe did not say how he intends to plead to charges.
