Florida girl who lost her legs in lawnmower accident celebrates birthday with her cheer leading troupe

Ireland Nugent, who lost her feet in a lawnmower accident at the age of two, celebrated her seventh-birthday this week. The inspiring little girl celebrated her birthday dancing with her cheerleading troupe. It's no surprise that her video went viral.

Her birthday celebrations were shared on the “Ireland Nugent Family Support Page” earlier this week. In April 2013, the two-year-old lost her feet when her father accidentally backed over her riding a lawn mower. Ireland, from Palm Harbor, Florida, lost both her legs below the knee.

Her birthday Facebook post showed a little girl dancing with her teammates on her prosthetic legs and sneakers. The post read “I can't believe it's been 7 years since I held your bundle of sweetness in my arms for the first time…  never could have guessed the road we would travel. You will do great things my love.”
