Shortcross Gin & Tonic: The whole country is set to get involved in celebrating eight delicious home-grown gins.Elaine Hill Photography

Last year Great Irish Beverages launched Dublin Gin & Tonic Festival in the capitol and this year they’re looking for the whole country to get involved in celebrating eight delicious home-grown gins.

For 2016, Great Irish Beverages are taking the festival around the entire island of Ireland to all 32 counties. The Irish Gin & Tonic Fest is taking place from June 20 - 25 and any bar, restaurant or hotel in Ireland and Northern Ireland can get involved. All they need is a love for supporting Irish drink products and to showcase in their venue one of eight Irish made gins with a tonic of their choice for the duration of the festival.

Here’s the eight gins that will be featured:

MUNSTER

- Blackwater Distillery

- Bertha's Revenge

- Dingle Distillery

- St Patrick's Distillery

LEINSTER

- Dublin City Gin

- Glendalough Distillery

ULSTER

- Shortcross Gin

CONNACHT

- Gunpowder Gin

If you know a bar that would love to win the title of producing the nations favorite Irish Gin & Tonic or you just fancy sampling some of these Irish products check out the site www.greatirishbeverages.com. As soon as the festival begins, the public may vote for their favorite Irish Gin & Tonic by using the #IrishGnT hashtag on twitter or by telling us on the Great Irish Beverages Facebook page. The winning venue will receive a host of brilliant prizes and most importantly can lay claim that they have the finest Irish Gin & Tonic in all of Ireland.

As well as the nationwide promo a select number of venues will be doing special offers on Irish Gin & Tonics through the award winning food and drink online magazine website, www.thetaste.ie. Some of the gin brands will also be hosting special festival events and workshops. More details will be announced closer to the time on Facebook.
