There's a hot new Irish doctor at Grey Sloan Memorial. The newest addition to Grey's Anatomy has fans swooning.

(Warning spoilers ahead!)

The mid-season fall finale of the long-running medical drama had Cristina sending Meredith, now back at Grey Sloan, a congratulatory present all the way from Switzerland.

Meredith assumes the package is an object, never realizing the present is actually Dr. Cormac Hayes, the new Chief of Pediatric Surgery at the hospital.

Dubbed “McWidow” by Cristina because he lost his wife, the hot new
Irish doctor and Grey have already clashed. Nonetheless, it is apparent Hayes is destined to be Meredith’s newest love interest.

Dr. Hayes is played by Irish actor Richard Flood. The 37-year-old from Dublin has previously starred in Shameless and TV3’s Red Rock.

Since the fall finale last week, fans of the show have been taking to social media to share their love for the handsome doctor, reports Her.ie.

"I already love McWidow," wrote one fan, while another said, "Congratulations, it is already obvious you will be an amazing addition to the show!"

"Grey’s Anatomy has me falling for an Irish man," someone commented.
