Delta Airlines has launched a brand-new daily nonstop service between Dublin and Minneapolis, which begins on Friday, May 10.

Launching on May 10, Dublin to Minneapolis is Delta's fourth US gateway served directly from Ireland and will complement the airline's existing services to Atlanta, Boston, and New York JFK.

Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, described the launch of the new route as an "exciting chapter" for Delta.

"We’re thrilled to be connecting these two cities and provide customers with even more travel options to the United States," Curcio said in a statement.

"Ireland has also long been a top choice for American visitors and with strong demand and a greater number of flights we look forward to bringing more customers to enjoy the Emerald Isle."

Gary McLean, Managing Director of Dublin Airport, welcomed the launch of the new route, adding that it will give passengers even more choice when flying to the US from Dublin.

"This new route expands Delta’s services from Dublin Airport from three to four major U.S. hubs: Atlanta, Boston, New York and now Minneapolis. Passengers flying from Ireland’s capital city airport to the United States will now have an expanded choice of destinations, coupled with Delta’s award-winning customer service when flying this summer," McLean said.
