The high school boyfriend of Phoebe Prince was a very promising player, one his coach said "Eats sleeps and breathes football"

Now all that is in his past as he faces very serious charges of statutory rape of Phoebe Prince and other serious charges. Instead of college football he may be facing jail time.

Mulveyhill (no. 25 in black above) became Phoebe Prince's boyfriend soon after she moved from Ireland to South Hadley Mass.. They broke up and he allegedly took part in the vicious bullying of her subsequently.

Back in November 0f 2009 however, just two months before Phoebe committed suicide Mulvehill the high school senior was lighting up the football field.

The local newspaper the Republican headlined "South Hadley made a mountain out of a Mulveyhill."
" Sean Mulveyhill led a dominating Tigers running game to a 48-26 victory over Holyoke, marking the fifth straight year the South Hadley High School football team has bested its rival.

Mulveyhill touched the ball 18 times for 244 yards and two touchdowns as the spearhead of a ground game that compiled a whopping 419 yards. "

"I don't think I've ever coached a player with as much passion for the game as Sean," (Coach Ray) Ferro said. "He eats, sleeps and breathes football."

"Execution is huge. Everyone needs to execute," Mulveyhill said. "The guys on the offensive line all did their jobs and just let us in the backfield do what we needed to do."

Now a few weeks later far from being a football hero Mulveyhill is facing charges that could end in a long prison term.

I hope young Sean gets a scholarship--to the University of HELL!!!!
Hopefully he'll be "eating, breathing, and sleeping" something a little more intimate in PRISON.
Besides our little Irish sister (which has been in "story after story" here on Irish Central) What is "Irish news" about a B*****D football player violating a teenage girl?? O'Dowd is milking this sad story, just like he is doing re: The "Pedophile Priests" (of which he knows there is NO SUCH THING AS A "PEDOPHILE PRIEST") You Shameless Ba****D Mr. O'D.
I'd like to be on the other side of that offensive line so I could show him the meaning of torture and bullying south Florida style. Star football player from Mass. would be the 2nd string water boy here especially one that likes picking on innocent little girls just trying to fit in with some Kennedy wannabe snobs. Good riddance to your football career and hopefully your jail buddy Bubba can show you the meaning of taking one for the team.
There seems to be a rush to judgement here - these are high school kids. Sadly, this stuff goes on in high schools across America. It's the adults who need to be held responsible for not monitoring behavior and social media pages of their kids. This should never have been allowed to go so far as a young woman believed her only out was to kill herself. Condolences to the family and friends of this young girl.
Maybe he should "eat, sleep and breathe academics". Who has ever heard of a "jock" from a backwater town making it into a Divison One Programme. When this debacle is over, no College with an iota of decency will touch him with a forty foot pole.
He deserves to be punished. Bullying is a sign of stupidity and lack of maturity.
I hope he and the other teens receive the maximum sentence for the aggravated assault and bullying. Where did the charge of statutory rape come from??? I did not see that in the newspaper, nor did the prosecutor mention it.
I think the guy is the scum of the earth. She was a beautiful and sweet girl and she deserved better. No one has the right to take another persons life. I hope her family gets justice and a sense of peace. My prayers are with them
I'm glad his dreams of playing foot ball are history. The drams that this poor girl's family had for her are crushed because of him and all of his cronies. Hopefully since this is so high profile, he will rot in a cell for as long as the law allows. And hopefully, he will expereince some bullying of his own from other inmates.
put him in jail for life or cut his balls off
It's really sad to see how mean kids are now days! I'm more afraid of teens then ever before, I won't even look at them for fear they'll come after me!!
I share in the contempt of Sean Mulveyhill, over the bullying of Phoebe Prince, but "statutory rape"?? Weren't the two close in age? I can't see how consensual sex between high school students can ever be considered statutory rape, unless there is more to this than meets the eye.
I have no compassion for Mulveyhill or any of the other bullies. Who knows why he felt he could bully this young girl - just the fact that he did shows what a creep he really is. Hope he gets what he deserves!
sorry i don't feel for you young man . Now you must walk the walk ,see how you like being picked on in prison.!!!!!!!
