Notre Dame win ugly against Boston College but Brian Kelly won't complain

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly

Get used to the Fighting Irish winning ugly.

Scraping through against bottom of the barrel Boston College was neither pretty or perfection.

But it got the job done.

For critics of the win I say Remember Tulsa.

Sure Tommy Rees had his worst game in the Blue and Gold-- but he still won.

And he's 12-2 as a starter.

He is starting to look like Tim Tebow. We will scratch our heads as to how he wins but he does.

Just win Baby.

Brian Kelly has come to appreciate the importance of that too.

He's no longer the riverboat gambler now he's like the sober sheriff.

Against Tulsa last year he got intercepted in the end zone when a field goal would have won the game.

He learned his lesson,

Yesterday with the ball on the BC 41 and fourth and one he punted.

That's a different style.

But when you run a turnover prone team, playing it by the rules is the best plan.

And the Champs Bowl now beckons.

Where is the Irish center of the American universe? Is it South Bend or is it Boston? Congrats to Kelly for staying calm and cool. It is obvious now that he was trying to carry the team on his back with "helter-skelter" antics. Sometimes, daddy has to stand back and let his sons do things on their own. Maybe, Ara did have that little talk. The tackle on Jonas Gray was a bit ugly with a helmet to the thigh just as he planted his leg. I believe that that hit "needs further review". As a BC fan, this game ensures the bringing back of a controversial coach who was a great and loyal defensive coordinator and yet can't carry the head coach responsibility worth a lick.
They won ugly but lost a good kid for the rest of the year when Jonas Gray went down with a ugly knee injury. This will hurt ND the rest of the regular and post season with a running game that was really starting to click.
Well, yes it wasn't what we expected BUT we still love Notre Dame, right! Everytime I watch our team play, my heart stars pumping__Thank GOD my heart is fine "otherwise" I could have a heart attack :( Come on guys, we can do better: WE ARE THE FIGHTING IRISH____COME ON!!!!!
