Howard Kudler who is opposing Congressman Peter King, on Long Island, has launched an astonishing attack on King calling him a terrorist collaborator because of his links with Sinn Féin.
Kudler has about as much chance as the local dogcatcher has of taking King’s seat and this last second broadside is a pathetic attempt to blacken King.
It is a classic low blow, expressed without any knowledge whatever of King’s significant role in bringing Sinn Féin to the negotiating table, and an attempt to smear him with the terrorist label.
Let me be clear on this, Peter King for well over two decades was the only significant American political figure to deal with Sinn Féin and to understand the complexity of the situation in Northern Ireland.
King played an absolutely huge role in getting the Clinton White House involved in the Irish peace negotiations and he never shirked the hard task of making Sinn Féin completely aware of what America needed from them.
Far from encouraging terrorism King helped end Europe's longest war of the twentieth century and can stand up and be very proud of his achievement.
As for Howard Kudler he can climb back under what ever rock he appeared from when he is soundly whipped in November.
This blatant smear attempt, clearly an effort to win the Jewish vote, will backfire in spectacular fashion. Any Irish American in Long Island district three should vote with their feet November 2 and give King a resounding vote of confidence.

I'm actually proud of the IRA, and Sinn Féin. I was born in Ireland, I was raised in Ireland, I will die in Ireland. I think the IRA need to do something soon aswell.

For once, hancock gets it right. The argument that England has not been accused of terrorism is really just sophistry. The word generally applies to insurgent factions rather than sovereign governments. "Victor's justice" implies that terrorists are extremists on the losing side.
It's not difficult to find instances where the British army used what are today called terrorist methods to subdue the local population. One that comes to mind immediately is the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in the Punjab in 1919. The British opened fire with machine guns on a crowd of holiday celebrants who could not escape. General Dyer directed his troops to shoot to kill, but some of them, realizing that the Indians could not escape, fired into the air. Dyer reprimanded them, "Shoot low. What have you been brought here for?"
The worst part of the massacre was the reaction of the British people, who hailed General Dyer as a hero. They took up a collection of 26,000 pounds, a fortune in those days, to finance his retirement. However, let us now candidly admit that Reginald Dyer was nothing but a terrorist. Under other circumstances he would have been convicted of 400 murders and hanged.
Dyer's immediate superior, Sir Michael O'Dwyer, was later stalked and killed by a Punjabi, Udham Singh, who was entirely pleased with himself for having done so. He welcomed his death by hanging in March 1940. Singh is today remembered as a sort of Kevin Barry figure among the Punjabis.

Lol why do I have to answer your question? I don't care, and didn't know a country could stand trial for terrorism. Have any other countries been found guilty? Who serves on the jury? Why don't you just defend your own English military/intelligence from the charges I have laid before for all these months. Why did The English cover up murder and slander of innocent victims via Widgery? Will you answer that staight ? Why did the English collude with Irish Unioist terrorissts? Brian Nelson? Why do you ignore and act as a terror apologist for the English military? Answer those questions instead of the evasive lawyer bullshit.

LOL half of your own country probably considers its policy as terrorism, as well as lap dog to America. What does your official list have to do with anything? England as Americas largest air craft carrier doesn't need to worry about being on any list or worry what other conntries think of them. Stevens, and Walker as well as numerous condemnation from legit Human rights groups have chronioled English terror behavior over the decades.

Their whole history is of terrorism? Do you think the rest of the world enjoyed their armies and fleet visiting them the last 300 years? The English govt colluded in Ireland with terror groups they armed and protected. I don't even think they pretend they didn't anymore. Keep it up though maybe the Queen will make you a lord.
