Conservative columnist and commentator George Will has slammed Sarah Palin saying she should not be trusted with nuclear weapons.

Will was speaking on ABC yesterday and his damning words, coming from the right, may give many people pause.

Here is what he said:

"Two things are infinite. One is the expanding universe, and the other is media attention to Sarah Palin, who is a genius at manipulating it. But she has several political problems. The first of which is there's no undecided vote in this country anymore about Sarah Palin. Sure, second, the threshold question, not usually asked, but it’s in everyone’s mind in a presidential election. ‘Should we give this person nuclear weapons?’ And the answer [in Palin's case], answers itself"

Will and other GOP heavyweights are suddenly running very scared that Palin is a legitimate contender.

She represents their worst nightmare, a grassroots candidate who owes the old bulls in the GOP nothing and who is prepared to say so.

Sarah Palin is actually looking better and better because of Will and others attacking her.

She is showing that she has the real handle on how to shake things up in America, even within her own party.

That is why Will and company are so scared.

Wouldn`t that be something America`s First Black President and then First Woman President. The two party system in the US needs a shake up.
Will has to be upset that the RNC done got itself all wrapped up in 'stupid'.
It is something when they tell us who we will vote for. The GOP doesnt even want to win this time. In 4yrs they will run Bush from Florida. They run us and we are to stupid to vote them all out. I cant understand why the dems hate her so much. Are they sexes?
Sarah Palin is the worst invention of a desperate political party I have ever seen. God help us if she ever snags another office of power.
Back in the old days, a column by George Will was a breath of air for conservative Americans desperate for any relief from relentless leftwing indoctrination. But he has been superseded by the evolution of the media, and is now obsolete.
Wills a conservative is now castigated by the teahadists as a lefty for drubbing their darling Palin.Palin will never be president the tea party bubble has burst.
@Yankee - there is nothing "Left Wing" about believing Sarah Palin would be a disastrous president! If she were to get the nomination you'll see how quick the majority of the GOP suddenly become what you're referring to as "Left Wing".
Her being able to "shake things up in America" in NO WAY makes her look better to anyone other than the tbagger base. If that woman got in a position of finger on the button, the rest of the world would go on red alert! The fall of America would be officially marked by Sarah Palin in the White House.
Do any of you think the Federal Reserve Bankers and their ilk will ever allow Palin to be President? Not bloody likely, it will be off to the back woods of Alaska for this one. The Bankers like Rockerfeller etc always pick the president, not the voters and they have done and will do as long as they are in control.
George Will should not be trusted with the computer on which he writes left-wing liberal drivel. Sarah Palin is a moral,straight-shooting (in both senses)woman who I would trust with my life, as would our U.S. military men and women that know and respect her as well. She is miles above the idiot in the White House--this opinion from a true American patriot.
Netanyahu shouldn't be trusted with nuclear weapons either, yet the Republican Establishment don't seem to worry about him.
curious comment there about the war powers act and Obama.where were you when it was Bush? But as for George Will,he's right that Palin is not even close to a viable candidate. She is poster child for the juvenile level American politics and discourse have sunk to.For Democrats she is the gift that keeps on giving,as is Gingrich and Ryan with his voodoo economic fantasy attack on Medicare. All fueled by feeding fear and emotion to an anti-intellectual gullible distracted electorate.
Palin may look good to a political and historical illiterate, but that is all. Can we please return to a time when brains and knowledge counted, not just publicity and money hounds?
jacke47: your point?
She's not running, so take off your track shoes and rest your feet. George Will is employed by ABC and knows where his money comes from, the Ministry of Propaganda, the money tree of ABC. Since 2008 he has been critical of McCain as well, so to say the same about Palin now is nothing new. He was critical of her as a VP choice, so will this on-line newspaper outlet tell us what he says about heir Obama? Nope ... they won't touch it ... for "they can't handle the Truth"!! They won't touch Obama's defiance of the constitutionality of the War Powers Act, and so America will continue to spend tax money in Libya, just because a President and senators do not “recognize” the Law as written.
