Disgraceful as Sarah Palin accuses Obama of racism, anti-Americanism -- new book "America By Heart" launches today

Sarah Palin's new book "America By Heart" makes disgraceful allegations about President Obama calling him an America hater and a racist.

She claims Obama is ashamed of being American "I think ordinary Americans are tired of Obama's global apology tour and of hearing about what a weak country America is from left-wing professors and journalists," Palin says.

She could not be more wrong. Anyone traveling abroad can see how Obama has revitalized America's image after the nightmare Bush era.

Obama has made America beloved again overseas-- though Palin would hardly know that having only rarely travelled outside this country.

She claims that Obama believes that America is "somehow worse than other countries, that it is hypocritical about its ideals, falls short of its responsibilities, and is forever in need of correction".

America yearns, she says for presidents "who are not embarrassed by America, who see our country's flaws but also its greatness: leaders who are proud to be Americans, and are proud of her every day, not just when their chosen ones are winning elections".

We had every right to be embarrassed under Bush with his ridiculous Iraq war and econmic disasters

On health care she claims Obamacare has no support contrary to polls on election day that showed Americans evenly divided on the issue of health care reform :

"We will not let America sink further into debt caused by government controlling another one sixth of our economy – and mandating its approved health care coverage – without a fight. We will not abandon the American dream to government dependency, fewer freedoms, and less opportunity."

She stoops much lower though when she accuses Obama of racism

She says people let Obama "think America – at least America as it currently exists – is a fundamentally unjust and unequal country. Barack Obama seems to believe this, too. Certainly, his wife expressed this view when she said during the 2008 campaign that she had never felt proud of her country until her husband started winning elections.

"In retrospect, I guess this shouldn't surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church listening to his rants against America and white people."

This is pure unadulterated nonsense and Palin should know better.

This book belongs in the trash.

Thanks Sean yes I have visited 10 US states. Had a wonderful time and saw first hand the operation of the US government, and some of the state legislature and even some local community meetings. Saw first hand some of the most staggering differences between the haves and the have nots! How much of Australia have Baloney and MMan seen before they cast their dispertions! ANd back to the point, Palin as president would be taken as seriously as Mugabe is, all huff, puff and rascist!!

Put obamas teleprompter in front of a proficient elementary school pupil and the student will appear expert on all subjects. It reminds me of the trained concert pianist who happened to be a chicken. He would sit in his little glass booth until someone came along and dropped a dime into the slot. Immediately the chicken would get up and punch out a tune on the piano, when he did it correctly, a small cup of grain would drop down and he would get rewarded....Sorrowfully, that same chicken, escaped from his glass booth when it was bumped, ran into the street and was run over by an 18 wheeler. Nobody taught him about trucks. The replacement pianist was killed by some cruel children who brought rolls of dimes and fed the slot until the fowl died from a stiff neck and overeating.

Ok, I am not an athiest, happy!! I send my kids to a Catholic school I agree with social justice and equality of all people regardless of sex race or religion!! Happy!! And again the personal is only because you have no relevant argument!! BTW USA spying on the UN is a bit more important that Obama;s elementary school reports!!! Still I find that you have no come back to the point at hand Palin does not have a firm grasp of american history, geography or the english language let alone knowledge of US allies!!

If seano actually believes this swill he is preaching, I'm surprised he's got the brain juice to breathe. I have always been impressed by people who know more about a place they've never been than the people who were there.

No Mman Mairead is not my wife,sister or offspring. We must remember that Rev.Wright is a patriot an ex marine who put his life on the line. Maybe you should ask your neo-fascist Fox friends Hannity and co. to replay the full article on Wrights "God-dam America" expose instead of reducing it to a 30 second sound bite (as the liar Hannity is adept at) you may be surprised at the result.But it was never about Wright it was just a dishonest attempt to discredit Obama and it failed miserably.

I'll give you an assignment why don't you give us a rundown on just what black liberation theology is and in what socialist countries it is practiced in, then get back to us. Bill Ayers & Bernadine Dorn are cowardly murderers plain and simple Lad, their bombs were responsible for the slaughter of American citizens. Putting him in charge of curriculum and textbook revisionism in Chicago and filling little inner city mush heads with socialist disinformation does not make him a hero.

Mairead is not my sister or wife. when you speak of the Rev. Wright please add that he is an ex marine an American patriot. He has been misquoted by liars like Hannity and Co. Wright's "Goddamn America" sentence was lifted from a sermon to discredit Obama through Wright.Ask your Neofascist mates at uberfox to air the full sermon. Monsoonman give us a an honest appraisal of Bill Ayers over the last 20yrs. and his work in the Illinois education system.
