So this is what passes for considered thought these days.
Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher (above) gets an ovation from Tea Party people attending a convention in Cincinnati.
Why?
Because he wants to shoot illegal immigrants.
Wurzelbacher and Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight (possibly better known as being Angelina Jolie's estranged father) were two of the star attractions at the Cincinnati tea fest.
"We need to get behind real Americans," said Wurzelbacher saying America shouldn't let "a bunch of liberal pansies" take away their rights.
"Illegal immigration?" he said. "Put a fence up and start shooting."
Clearly Wurzelbacher, (in more ways than one) is no WB Yeats.
Yeats used to worry that: "Did that play of mine send out/ Certain men the English Shot?"
Is no one else worried about the consequences of this kind of inflammatory oratory?

To ALL IC AND THE IRISH VOICE (SHOULD BE CALLED IRISH VOICE-ONLY IF WE AGREE) READER-DONT POST HERE. Never have I come across such blatant censorship under the heading "opinion"
I will be starting my own blog based on the stories printed here but without the Natzi like censorship.

What are the qualifications to be an editorial writer for Irish Central? A stint as Putins PR guy? Working on Pravdas editorial page? Writing timely pieces in granma? Just curious.
