| Dick Cheney |
Walking onstage unaided, appearing strong and healthy, Dick Cheney was able to give a talk for over an hour to a gathering of the Wyoming State Republican Convention in Cheyenne Wyoming.
He sat on a chair as he chatted with his Daughter Liz Cheney talking about various subjects from his health to concerns for the country under the leadership of President Obama.
He said "I won't be running any foot races yet, but it won't be long" to the crowd of approximately 300, who gave him a long standing ovation. He added "he owed a huge debt to the unknown donor of his new heart and to medical technology".
Vice President Cheney didn't wade into the wonders of Americas present health care system that makes miraculous cures to once fatal illnesses commonplace and how he thinks Obamacare will change all of that. That will be dealt with in upcoming speeches as he gets his strength back. But he did wade into the Presidents handling of our country and in his typical fashion, didn't mince words:
"He has been an unmitigated disaster to the country," referring to President Obama. "I can't think of a time when I felt it was more important for us to defeat an incumbent President today with respect to Barack Obama.." "I think to be in a position where he gets four more years in the White House to continue the policies he has, both with respect to the economy, and tax policy, and defense and some other areas would be a huge, huge disappointment."

Vice President Cheney also waded into GOP politics and called for a uniting behind presumptive nominee Mitt Romney saying: "He (Romney) is going to do a 'whale of a job." "It has never been more important than now to defeat a sitting president and the Republican Party should unite behind Romney."
It wasn't long ago Dick Cheney was in a medically induced coma for over a month as Doctors worked on his frail heart, while attaching him to a machine that would forever be a part of his life if he was to survive. During an interview he was asked if he had any memories of that time while he hovering near death and he responded: "I never knew I was in a coma, I thought I was at an Italian Villa the whole time enjoying life."
Many people who go through the health challenges and near death experiences Dick Cheney has, mellow to turn to other pursuits and Mr. Cheney still loves to fly fish the great trout streams near his home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. But as Mr. Cheney recovers from this latest health challenge, I see him fired up more than ever to see the country he loves set in a good strong direction. Dick Cheney is just starting to roll up his sleeves and get back in the battle to retake our country.
Current American medical care is the best in the world, look at the medical miracle we have with Vice President Cheney.

So, Monsoonman your from Texas where they have that really moral Governor Rick Perry. Now, there's a paragon of virtue and moral turpitude. How drugged up was he when he was in New Hampshire? Why don't you stop your holier than thou attitude ? Quit now ! You're hectoring on this forum is going no where. Go help Rick Perry. He wants to secede from the Union. He needs your type to achieve his goal. You, Dick & Rick how basic can you get !!
P.S. I would not be caught dead in a cow boy hat!!

Kerry: Like we say in Texas yer all hat no cattle. Still infected w/BDS and blinded by it. The Secret Service scandal is just the latest in a string of examples showing the moral turpitude and ineptness the left has brought to this country. Hiring those in positions of responsibility to make a social statement rather than who is morally fit and competent to do the job.

Kerryman, yes please leave God by the dockside as all good leftist must abandon God, you know "bitter clingers" but being a citizen of the 57 states I am shocked that any speech by Dick Cheney is allowed to be broadcast, such blasphemy against The president should not be allowed, where does he get the right to speak against the current president, In fact where do these people who rage on about their religion get the right to do this, and don't get me going on people who own guns, who do they think they are, governments are there to help us, what gives these gunholders the right to own arms. Next you'll be telling me that a persons home shouldn't be confiscated to house troops or such Guns and God lowlifes should be held without bail, tried without a jury. They have a lot of gall, where do they think they have the right to do these things?

Mr. Monsoonman, A.K.A. "the ole draftdogers best friend" Here I am refuting. And your a fun person to refut. You know why ? You are not a fact checker you are a ranter. People who did not/do not like Bush & Cheney disliked them for what they did to this country, what they did to the dead soldiers & their families, the innocent people of Iraq who were killed because Cheney wanted to control the oil.
You don't like Obama because of what he is, not because of anything he has done, so you throw up smoke screens like fuel prices, Sevret Service, & GSA to vilify him. He has nothing to do with the skyrocketing price of fuel. As far as Foreign Policy goes we have 100% more respect shown to us from Foreign nations then we ever had with the Bush administration. Europeans reffered to Bush as the "Crazy Cowboy" and they refused to deal with Cheney. The European were the ones who dubbed Cheney "Darth Vader". And Your reference to the Secret Service issue being an Obama debacle, today Rep. Peter King was on TV this evening stressing that it is a "Bi-Partisan issue" nothing to do with the Obama administration. Peter King is a Republican.
As far as all of the poster's here just calling Cheney names, I think that was your statement, and it was not true. Cheney's corruption was described by his deeds, all very well presented and detailed.
Mr. Monsoonman your rage about President Obama is without foundation. Go off with your Gun's & God boys and give our heads peace. I assume since you are on this forum there is an Irish connection. When your with the Gun's & God boys, please don't mention your Irishness. It's people like you who give us a bad name.

Cheney, chicken-hawk(a draft dodger who sends others off to war). Halliburton, Dick gave up his seat on the board of directors when he became President/Vice President to avoid conflict of interest. Who took that seat? His wife.
Valerie Plame, the top five in the administration, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Card, Rove, pick one, at least one, if not all, guilty of treason, outing a CIA agent. Scooter Libby took the fall, one of the biggest jokes ever.
National debt, not a problem for Cheney. I can go on, but why.

I know exactly what I wrote. None of you want to take a look at the unmitigated disaster you installed in the Whitehouse. Skyrocketing fuel prices/67% of Americans say country is going in wrong direction/Foreign policy that makes our friends not to trust us and our enemies not to fear us/No budget for 3 years/moral decay in our govt=GSA-Secret Service/16 trillion debt & 1.5 trillion annual deficits/Irans jihadists on brink of getting nukes & 0bama dithers/ His hugely unpopular & only legislative accomplishment about to be ruled unconstitutional...Anyone w/ a clear head calls that unmitigated disaster, except you.

Monsoonman, You are missing the point!! Read the other posters. The message is Cheney should look at his own record before he comments on others in office. I don't think that's "True Lefty Form". The Old Draft Dodger has a legacy of doing damage to the middle class in our Country. He made lots & lots money due to the War yet, never served his military duty. Cheney & Rumsfield wanted War but wanted someone else to fight it. Like poor kids, who enlist just to have a job (minorities) or kids of the middle class who see the military as a chance to get a better education. You did not see the 2 Cheney girls in the military, did you!! I rest my case.
So, Mr/Mrs/Ms/ or Whatever Monsoonman, Before you start throwing your vapid statements around, reflect on the "Good Ole Boy" you follow.

"unmitigated disaster" Pure Crapola! You can divert and distract from the truth, but it will still remain; America was destroyed by the Bush/ Cheney administration. Their leadership was ignorant to the needs of the economy, the regulation needed to keep Wall St in check, and when it came to their 2 wars, these two chicken hawks sent thousands to their deaths in Iraq when Bin Laden was sitting in Afghanistan and in Cheney's case, profited all the way. Obama took action to restore the economy, took out Bin Laden without further cost of Americans lives and today remains the only adult in the room while the GOP obstructs all progress that would aid this economy and its people.

None of the below comments dispute the core of what Vice President Cheney said: Obama is an unmitigated disaster, because it is the truth. But in true lefty form, you attack the messenger instead.
