TIME Magazine votes Robert Pattinson one of most influential people of 2010

Vampire extraordinaire Edward Cullen may not have been that popular amongst his peers in "Twilight" but the guy who plays Cullen, Robert Pattinson is the very opposite.

In fact, he is so opposite that TIME magazine has taken a poll on the most influential leaders, artists, innovators and icons in the world this year and he is near topping it.

Robert Pattinson came rolling in alongside some of the greatest in the entertainment industry.

The list also included Jeff Bridges, who won an Oscar in March, Avatar director, James Cameron and singer Beyonce.

On RPatz, TIME says, "The Twilight saga has been a boon for the British heartthrob, who plays sparkly, sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the hit franchise. The third installment, Eclipse, comes out this summer, ensuring that Pattinson's face — however pale — will be omnipresent."

According to polling results, Robert received about 1,450 votes so far, placing him in second place.

The world is right where it ought to be. Rob is included in the category Artists and Entertainers. His humility, sense of humor, work ethic, intelligence, and talent should put him among the most influential in his peer group. I am more concerned that Lada Gaga is leading. Robert Pattinson is one of the good guys. Loyal to friends he has had since the age of 12, respectful of his family, generous to his fans, talented, and hard working. Good for him. Where can I cast my vote??

I don't know if Robert Pattinson would like being an influence since he's still a young man finding out about himself and what he wants in life as all young people do but I know that Robert is certainly an inspiring young gorgeous guy and that is influentual. He inspires all kinds of feelings in me. ;-)

Well he is more than a pretty face, he is talented, funny and humble. He has changed the way people look at celebreties. It is not all about the face and the perfect body , but the person is very important. So answering to you question What is the world coming to guys?? I think it is getting better :)
