Pattinson and Witherspoon shared the limelight in the 2011 adaptation of ‘Water for Elephants.’ When Pattinson had to suddenly move out of the mansion that he and Stewart shared, he headed for Witherspoon’s cozy estate in Ojai, California, People magazine reports. Her impeccably decorated home was recently featured in Elle Decor magazine.
Pattinson and Stewart made headlines last week when Stewart’s infidelities came to light. News broke that she had been having an affair with her ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ director Rupert Sanders, who is married with two children.
Pattinson was reportedly blindsided by the news of the affair, and rumors that he had been getting ready to propose to his ‘Twilight’ beau added insult to injury.
"There was no sign that either of them was unhappy," says a source close to the 26-year-old actor. "He would have done anything for her."
Stewart promptly made a statement that she was “so, so sorry” about her “huge mistake” in cheating on Pattinson.
"Telling Robert was the worst thing she's ever had to do," says the insider.
