Hear Susan Boyle sing on "Everybody Hurts' Haiti relief song

Bookmark and Share

Our Susan did a beautiful job on the remake of REM's hit "Everybody Hurts" to raise much needed money for the Haiti Earthquake relief fund.

The stars aligned for Simon Cowell, who put the whole thing together, and he managed to lure the likes of Bono, Loena Lewis, Rod Stewart and Coldplay, to name but a few, to contribute to the worthy cause.

"The Haiti earthquake has caused devastation and suffering that most of us will never experience nor could imagine,” Boyle said of taking part in the song.

"I feel privileged to be a part of such a wonderful project that will raise money to help the country.

"I hope the single raises lots of money. It's great that we can come together and do this. It's a very special song."

It is a special song indeed, all the more so for Susan's participation. Listen to her around the three-minute mark on the video.

You go Susan!

Probably see 'cos it's for Haiti- but did nought for me, sorry.
Susan is a stand out on this recording. It does look like the album will raise mega bucks for Haitian Relief, and this is the point. She needs to record the entire song in her next album. Her voice is outstanding.
That's it? I'm disappointed Susan didn't sing more of the song. Why did she only sing a couple of words?
Mr. Trelawny, buying this cd is one additional way Susan Boyle Fans, and fans of the the other artists, will support the relief measures for the people of Haiti. Many people have taken the opportunity to donate to the Red Cross, or at their local grocer, or wherever he or she felt comfortable. If you're not obsessed by Ms. Boyle, you're just not paying close enough attention; too busy criticizing others' contributions I suspect.
@DrTrelawney: maybe they are just smarter than you.
Let's be clear. It is possible to give money to Haiti without listening to this predictably mawkish desecration of a good song. What IS up with this site's obsession with Susan Boyle?
Sorry to say it is not the best YouTube to listen to as it keeps on cutting in and out.
I think this is a great thing to do. I have already pre orderded mine.
Susan's marvelous voice is a standout on this song. Just when you don't think you can be more proud of her, you are. I would like to see her record the entire song on her next album.
Susan Boyle makes you feel everything she sings. She is fantastic! She can bring tears to my eyes every time.
Truth hurts.....this too shall end. Right? Nature has a way of humbling the earth's inhabitants, I know I am a Mississippi Gulfcoast Katrina survior. It hurt. Susan Boyle shows us the 'good ending'. Thanks Susan.
Susan is amazing. Her voice is magical. I don't know why, her songs bring tears to listeners' eyes.
I would have liked to hear just Susan with her beautiful voice.
Beautiful. Did not think I could love the song any more than when REM released it but I do! To the brave Hatians Hold On....Love
All the stars sing good on that charity CD for Haiti and Susan sings it with her heart that makes it specially effective.
I think she is wonderful, as usual. The others are quite good too. I've ordered it from Amazon.
I'm sure anything Susan sings will be from the heart. She's a great lady and a talented vocalist. Thanks Susan for your contribution.
