Well, if there was any shred of a doubt that the once party-boy Colin Farrell has changed his ways, this should shatter it. The Dublin born and bred actor paid an unannounced visit to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Dublin on Christmas Day.

With hundreds of presents in tow for the sick children of the hospital, Farrell brought  a much needed dose of Christmas cheer to the patients, their families and staff alike. Making a point to not make his visit a media attraction, apparently Farrell’s publicist didn’t even know about his visit.

Excited parents took to Twitter with the arrival of Farrell and sung his praises. The Daily Mail reports that one wrote “Just chatting with #ColinFarrell who is in with presents for the kids here in #Crumlin. No tv/media, a gentleman and genuine.”

Another tweeted “'Just met Colin Farrell he came to meet the kids in crumlin hospital really nice man. fair play to him putting a smile on the childrens faces.'

Farrell was in his hometown for the holidays, and was spotted on Christmas Eve enjoying fellow Dublin-native Bono singing for charity along with other musicians.

Fair play to Farrell indeed!
